Dave's final packing check. Tandem parachutes are larger and heavier than "single" `chutes, and also include a drogue `chute to slow the descent of a skydiving pair. All this extra equipment requires a slightly larger, heavier and more robust set of harnesses and packs.

King Air Twin - "Sebastian" our jump plane
The sturdy King Air twin - with two powerful turboprop engines is normally a 6 passenger executive aircraft, used for medium distance business travel. "Sebastian", with its seats and interior stripped out, takes 16 passengers - or more accurately.. 8 pairs of tandem jumpers to 11,000 feet.
